Saltfleetby Gas Field Development.
Candecca Resources discovered the Saltfleetby Gas Fields and commenced developement.of the field. The development consisted of two seperate well sites with infield connecting flowlines, and a 7.5Km export pipeline to transport the treated gas to the Conoco Gas Facility at Theddlethorpe
S. Moorhouse & Co were retained by Candecca to assemble a team capable of fast tracking the design, procurement, and construction of the infield and export pipeline system.
Ownership of the field and the development passed to Roc Oil (UK) Ltd midway through the construction phase of the development.
Design
Routing of the pipelines was established by desk top study and line walking, with Phil Mason carrying out land owner negotiations and finalising agreements.
Pipline sizing and throughput capabilities were undertaken on behalf of the project team by JP Kenny.
Linepipe material specifiction and welding prodcedures determined by material specilist and welding engineer John Marlow
Procurement
Linepipe and bends were procured fully coated with FBE from Corus (British Steel), order placed on behalf of the Client, and progressed by John Marlow.
Tender Exercise
S Moorhouse & Co with the assistance of a pipeline QS prepared the ITT contract, scope of works and the technical specification, and conducted the tender exercise for the infileld flowlines and the export pipeline.
On completion of bid clarification meetings the contract was awarded to McNicholas Pipelines Ltd on a lump sum price basis.
Construction
Steve Moorhouse acted as Project/Construction Manager during construction of the pipelines.
McNicholas Pipelines Ltd completed the works on time, within budget, and without incurring any lost time accidents.
eOperation
Pipeline system was handed over and conmiisioned by the owner/operator
MAPD prpeared and submitted to HSE pipelines department by S Moorhouse & Co
Site still under construction
